What products do you use?

We use only the best products, including every fine cosmetics line you can think of. A few of the most commonly used brands we use are MAC, Channel, Bobbi Brown, and Smashbox. We bring everything to you! The most highly allergic skin has no problems with our products, but if you prefer to use your own products, that will be fine also.

I'm worried I won't look like myself. Is your make-up artists going to put make-up on that looks thick and makes me look completely different?

We know and completely agree that a bride should look like her self on her wedding day. Your skin will never look as though you have a bunch of foundation on, or your eyes looking super dark when you've never worn much color on the eyes. We want you to feel you're most confident and comfortable as ever on your wedding day. Our artists would never do your make-up drastically different from what your use to.

How much advanced notice do I need to give you for my wedding?

For many events, we book up months in advance it is be best to call us as soon as you know that you will need a makeup artist or hair stylist for your wedding.

Tell me more about Airbrush Makeup!

Airbrush makeup is the most flawless and long lasting makeup out there! Not only does it look and feel super natural, but it stays perfect through humidity, sweat, and tears! Foundation, blush, bronzer and highlighters are lightly misted on to the skin with an airbrush gun and compressor. Then the artist blots the face with a translucent powder to set the makeup, and also to make sure there is no shine on the skin. Photographers have asked our make-up artists many times how we had perfected the skin on their brides so well, because there was never any retouching they had to do. We always tell them, it's our secret!

What about extra fees and tipping?

There are few additional fees if you would like false lashes, airbrush make-up, or if the travel required is more than a half an hour out of the Chicago area. We will never ask for payment on the day of your wedding which we believe the bride shouldn't have to think about money on her big day. The final payment is due one week prior to the wedding date. If one the wedding day, there are services or products added we will have your credit card number on file. Industry standard for gratuity is 18-20%. For your convenience, 18% of the total of all services will be added automatically to the credit card on file.

How long will my makeup last?

Your makeup will last the entire day. The only products necessary for touch ups after 3-4 hours will be lip gloss/lipstick and powder. We can sell the touch-up packages to the bride and for her attendants.

Why should I hire a make-up artist, instead of just doing it myself?

With such an important event, many photographs will be taken. Aside from the fact that you will want to look your very best for the entire day and evening in person, the lasting photos will be part of your life forever. Professional photographic makeup is different from regular makeup. Additionally, special highlighting, contouring, bringing out your best features, and lighting are just some of the issues your artist will be addressing to insure that you look your very best. Our make-up artists know make-up inside and out. We know how to make your skin look flawless and perfect for photography and in person. We know what products to stay away from. Just using the wrong type of foundation, texture, or formula of eye shadow can completely ruin your pictures. All eyes will be on your radiant face through the entire day.

Why should I go to you and not to a salon or make-up counter?

At a salon, you may be one out of 15 people the stylist or make-up artist is going to serve that day. At a salon or make-up counter there are so many distractions. They may have sales goals, commissions, or appointments scheduled back to back. You may not be able to sit by your friends and family, as with us you are always with your party. On your wedding day you are our first and only priority. We will be serving you and your party and no one else. You are not going to have someone trying to sell you anything or hurry you to get to their next client. You don't have to travel to the salon, or wait. We come to you and pamper everyone in your party.
With us, you are our 1st priority, from the time we arrive, to the time we leave. You and your friends and family are the only ones we are thinking about and serving.

What does a consultation consist of?

Your make-up artist or hairstylist will first go though pictures of the look you would like. Then after a talk about what would be a good look to try, the make-up artist will do a complete make-up application, and your hairstylist will do a complete hair style/up-do as if it's your wedding day. We don't do just half of anything; we do the full thing so you can see exactly how everything looks. Either in the middle of the consultation or at the end, any changes will be done if needed. You will always have the same make-up artist and hairstylist that you met at your consultation.

How do your prices vary from other competitors?

Our prices reflect our quality of service, our team of experienced make-up artists and hairstylists, and the convenience of us coming to you. We want to pay our stylists and artists fair for their experience, customer service, and talent. Some competitors have lower pricing but may have students or people with very little experience, going out and doing jobs. We use the top of the line products, and the top of the line artists.
